The One with The Bourne Identity

I read a lot of books that my dad hands down to me. The other day while he was out here with my mom and little brother, Nick, I asked him who his favorite author was and he said Ludlum was definitely near the top, mainly because of the Bourne books. Here is my review of the first of those:

9. Title & Author: The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum (535 pages)
Genre: Fiction--Thriller & Suspense
Completed: 14 July 2007
Summary & Review:
Jason Bourne, or David Webb, or Delta, or even Cain...is found in the ocean riddled with bullets and nearly dead. When he is revivied he has no memory of who he is or where he came from. As he searches for his past, and future, he realizes he was a deep cover American agent on the hunt for the world's most notorious assassin, Carlos. He soon realizes that Carlos is also on the hunt for him.

I really enjoyed this one. The other day I watched The Bourne Supremecy for the first time (it came out right before my mission and I didn't have a chance to see it before I left) and I really, really liked it--which surprised me because I thought the first one, i.e. the movie for this novel, was not-so-good. But, after loving the second movie it prompted me to check out the novels and see what they were like. At least for this one, the book was much better than the movie, but don't people always say that? The story was entertaining and fast paced and it kept me reading. Needless to say, I'll check out the next one. Quote: "He addressed no one without an obscenity preceding his name." (26)
