"If something isn't aesthetically pleasing or interesting, doesn't require skills I do not have, and makes a stupid point stupidly, I don't appreciate it as art. That doesn't make me a philistine. It makes me a non-rube."

The One with The Collectors

23. Title & Author: The Collectors by David Baldacci (511 pages)*
Genre: Fiction--Thriller
Completed: 2 February 2008

Summary & Review:
This book follows the Camel Club, a rag-tag quartet, which stumbles upon a series of connected murders. They eventually, with the help of Annabel, a con artist ex-wife of one of the murdered men, uncover a spy ring in Washington, D.C.

This was much better than the book I just read by Patterson. Baldacci had an entertaining style and made me laugh several times. It was a fun read. Here's a funny quote:

"Dumbledore. From Harry Potter, you know."
"No, I don't know," Caleb snapped.
"What a bloody muggle," Rueben muttered. (108)
