"If something isn't aesthetically pleasing or interesting, doesn't require skills I do not have, and makes a stupid point stupidly, I don't appreciate it as art. That doesn't make me a philistine. It makes me a non-rube."

The One with the Richest Man in Babylon

41. Title & Author: The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason (144 pages)
Genre: Nonfiction/Fiction--Finance & Motivational
Completed: 24 June 2008

Summary & Review:
Clason presents his words of financial wisdom through a quasi-novel format that takes place in the ancient city of Babylon. He teaches his lessons about money, debt, savings, and investments through fictional stories of men from this city.

While I didn't really understand why all the dialogue was written in King James Bible style English, I got a lot out of this book. Having these pearls of monetary wisdom being presented like a story probably made the book more interesting. I really want to apply almost everything that Clason taught in this book since it was all very sound advice. Show me the money!
